Just a quick note, just incase ... if you're planning on
building some
kind of suspension system then you'll need the four rays
(or perhaps
just two, one for front and one for rear) but if you're
just looking to
align your car to the track you can get away with using only
one -

Another point is that you should use the 'new' optimized
modelsunderray
which allows you to specify how many models to return during
a call.

The problem with raycasting in shockwave is that it's
really CPU
intensive. Since our poor, struggling 3d engine is past
retirement age
you really need to keep the number of rays down to an
absolute minimum.
