proposed changes to Python's / PIL Sane module

Hi all,

For those of you interested in using Sane from Python, but
who are
not reading the Python image-sig mailing list, a quick
heads-up:

I wrote a patch for PIL's Sane module that allows access to
"array
options", i.e., those options that have more than one
value, like
gamma tables:

While I am sure that this patch is useful, it may introduce
incompatibilities with existing applications -- its not very
likely,
but I can't be sure, of course.
