Epson Perfection V100/V350 Photo scanners

Hi,

I have question if model Epson Perfection V100/V350 Photo
scanners are currently supported directly by sane. Yes I
know iscan driver (Image Scan! 2.3.0) exist but the plugins
is only for rpm systems and as a Slackware user I have not
an idea where I can find normal source (tar.gz) file for
this model. In addition I have a question if
negative/positive film scanning in these models are fully
supported. What's about automatic film unit drive (multi
photo feeder ?) in V350 model.

Unless someone converts it for you, you probably can't find
one
anywhere :-(

To convert the RPM to a Slackware friendly format, you can
use the
alien utility.  I don't know if Slackware includes it,
though.  The
command would for the conversion would be:

  $ alien --to-tgz iscan-plugin-gt-f700-2.0.0-0.i386.rpm

If fully supported includes things like dust removal and
photo
restoration, then no.  Furthermore, iscan only supports
resolution up
to 3200dpi, but using other SANE frontends, you should be
able to use
up to 4800dpi.

The automatic film loader (AFL) is not supported.
