Lexmark x1250 All-in-one - Scanner don't
work !

Hi! I am the happy proprietor of a Lexmark x1250, all-in-one, fax, scanner, printer, (it washes, it passes, it kitchen... ; ) ) The printer is already working (with drive
z600), but unhappily scanner
is another story.
I installed the packages "sane" and "sane-utils" (by apt-get in
Ubuntu 6.06).
When I run xsane, it simply says that "no available device exist".
The output from commands: #lsusb
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 043d:007d Lexmark International, Inc.
#sane-find-scanner
found USB scanner (vendor=0x043d, product=0x007d, chip=rts8858c?) at libusb:003:003
#sudo lsusb -v -v

Hello,
the experimental version of the lexmark backend works with
models identified
by 0x043d:0x007c (X1100) and 0x413c:0x5105 (Dell A920).
Your model may be
the same than the A920, and with slight modifications, you
could try the
experimental version.
However, before trying that you might consider record a log
of usb traffic
under Windows and send it to me, so that I can check it is
worth trying it.
Regards,
Stef
