Did you follow the directions in the second link? If so,
and you ran into trouble at some point, please tell us specifically which step
you had trouble with, what you did, what happened, and what you expected to
happen. Without details, there's no way to help.
When you respond, please "reply to all" so everyone on the
list gets your message. Personally, I can't provide any Outlook Express-specific
help beyond pointing at the FAQ, since I don't use OE.

i tried to find my answer to the question
"why cant i find anything about spambay in my email file?" and the only thing i
see it might be is because i have outlook express. however, it says that i
can fix that, but i dont see how. i did check, and my computer did
download spambay, i found it in my files. so how to i access it from
outlook express? thanks patti higgins

Again, please reply to all when responding to this
message. If you don't, I'm the only one who gets the message, which means that
you only get help if I'm available, and you don't get the benefit of the
experience of anyone on the list who actually uses Outlook
Express.

ok, i printed step 4.21 - how do i set up
spambayes and outlook express? i got down to step 10, but on step 11 it
tells me to open the spambayes configuration page at http://localhost:8880/config. it
says i can do this via the tray application, but i dont know what that is.
so i put that address into the browser and tried to search, but it came up
"can not display web page". so i am stuck on step 11. can you
explain the tray app to me? perhaps i can continue after that.
thanks patti

I'm not quite sure about your "tried to search" step. It
looks like you should be able to type that address into your browser's address
bar and hit Enter, no searching required. Is that what you're
doing?
If the tray app is running, an icon will show up in the
"tray" of the Windows task bar. The tray is typically in the lower right-hand
corner of the screen, though you can put it elsewhere. It'll probably have a
volume control (represented by a speaker icon) and the current time in it. I
don't know what the SpamBayes icon looks like, but it should appear in the tray
with the other tray items.
