Hi Jessica!

The 'README' documentation (which you can see online here:
http://
www.tuxpaint.org/docs/html/README.html ) has a section
towards
the bottom, entitled "Loading Other Pictures into Tux
Paint", that talks
about how to do this.

For the past year or so, Tux Paint has been a bit more
flexible
when it comes to opening images that weren't created using
Tux Paint itself,
or at least converted into a particular size and format, so
you may have
luck with things like JPG photos and the like.

One of these days, I'd like to created Windows and Mac
versions of the
little "tuxpaint-import" tool that I created for
Linux, and update the Linux
one to be more flexible (and created a graphical
front-end... it's a
command-line-only tool, for now).

Anyway, hopefully the documentation I pointed you to above
should explain
what you need to know! If not, feel free to ask for more
help. :^)

Good luck!
