H.263 Video Problems

I'm new to OpenH323, and I'm trying to get H.263 video
working. I'm
using PWLib v1.10.1, and I've experimented with both
OpenH323 v1.18.0
and Opal v2.2.2. I'm compiling with Visual Studio 2003 on
Windows
2000. I was able to get H.261 video working OK.

I followed the directions at
http://
www.voxgratia.org/docs/h263_codec.html to add the H.263
codec.
I've tried establishing a call between Microsoft's
NetMeeting and
ohphone or simpleOPAL. When compiled with H.263 support,
ohphone is
able to establish a connection, but the framerate is very
low and CPU
usage is very high. This is the case even when using the
H.261 in a
build with H.263 support. With simpleOPAL with H.263
support, I get a
black screen when using H.261 video.

I'm new to H.323, but when I enabled tracing from
simpleOPAL, the
capabilities exchange seemed wrong. During the exchange,
extra H.263
entries were being added. Here is the final capability set
from the
trace:

Has anyone else had these kinds of problems?

Thanks, Spencer

Can Openh323 endpoint serve multiple calls concurrently?

My question is regarding how Openh323 endpoint is
architected.

I am planning an application where the H.323 endpoint
would be required to maintain calls with multiple
H.323 endpoints concurrently. Is Openh323 able to
support this or can it only serve one call at a time,
like netmeeting?

Regards,
Cemil

Hi,

one openh323 endpoint instance can support as many calls
as your box
can cope with.

Examine openmcu, or openam, for examples on how to do
this.
