| RTP Streaming and decoding the H.263
frames |

|

Hi.
I need to develop a application that is going to run on a
*Windows
Mobile 5.0* device.
I already can receive the RTP Packets containing the H.263
packets (in
QCIF format) and extract the payload (including the H.263
frame header).
Anyone can tell me if it's possible to use OpenH323 in order
to decode
the frames that I receive from RTP?
Thanks

OpenH323 runs on your platform (Windows Mobile) and also has
2 choices of H.263
codec libraries.
By all means, you should be able to decode that stream.

Can you give me some tips on how to build OpenH323 to
Windows Mobile? Is
there any guide? I've tried but with no success :(

There is information in chapter 7.6 of pwlib/ReadMe.txt
While I know the H.263 codec very well, others will be more
capable to help you
with Windows Mobile specific problems.

Hi.
Thanks for your support.
I'm a bit afraid because I don't know If I can use the
OpenH323...
Here's my situation:
I need to develop a VoIP application to Windows Mobile 5.0
platform. I
already have a SIP/SDP stack with support for audio codecs.
My main problem is with the video. I found a decoder
(TMNDecoder) but
seems that it is not made for RTP Streaming... I think that
the
decompressor only decompress full frames...
Do you think that I can use OpenH323 to decode the frames
that I receive
on my device? (I can successful receive and extract the
payload from the
RTP)
I appreciate a answer very much
Thanks

You will need to extract relevant parts of OpenH323 or Opal
(the latter also
supporting SIP), especially the H.263 codec in
openh323/src/rfc2190codec.cxx or
opal/src/codec/h263codec.cxx since you have already selected
another stack for
the protocol part.
I cannot help you any further, I am afraid.

Hi,
Before you build whatever you are trying to build, you need
to build to
build winCE version of pwlib and openh323 and PocketPhone.
Try to start from reading FAQ and get it running. Good luck.
