You are singing to the choir...I no longer work at the
company, I was a
contractor. Their idiocy was amazing, you just saw the tip
of the
iceberg in my posting. I wont tell you about the 20K they
spent on SSL
licences for HTTP paths behind the firewall...for the test
system no
less. They could have done it in house for free, nevermind
the utter
non need...but I digress...ACK!
They didn't have anyone with any real ambition, those people
left years
ago. The salaried people who remained were, well deadwood in
terms of
ideas and philosophies.
This requirement for external users was asinine for
password.
Unfortunately they were in an insular world and competition
to weed
this company out wasn't present.
I lived a Dilbert cartoon for my whole time there....
