phone number test

I am using the ASP.net control validator and I do not want
people to
be abl to enter xxx-555-xxxx as a valid phone number.  I
currently am
using th following which allows for the standard number
seperators.
Anyone have a solution to this?

(?s*ds*[).-]?s*ds*[-.]?s*d
