Command history stopped working (can't see any keyboard maps)

Hi,

Command history (up-error) stopped working on my
OpenBSD/zaurus 4.1. under
default ksh. It was working fine, but after a reboot started
inserting key codes
instead of doing history. Command completion (tab) works. 

I though that it may be  keymap issue but running `kbd -l`
shows no keymaps
installed (kbd en also gives an error).

Does anybody have any ideas how to fix this issue?
