    hi ,

Do anyone has an idea, what is the use of m4 folder in gst-template/gst-plugin . Yes i know it is required while doing aautoconf , but instead why cant we use it from /usr/local/share/aclocal . 
Also in gstreamer/common there is a m4 whicgh is not getting intalled . can we make use of the same?

Further investigating i understood gstreamer/common/m4/as-version.m4 and gst-template/gst-plugin/m4/as-version.m4 are different . Can some one point out why are they different /or can i use gst-template/gst-plugin/m4/as-
version.m4 even for gstreamer.
