Hi all,
With Cset#17671, "qcow creating" issue was
fixed! It can use qcow
file to create a VTI with "disk = [
'tap:qcow:/***,hda,w' ]" config
file.
One old issue still existed:
======================
Windows guest still can not be booted up.
--- VTI_Windows2008 can not be booted. When we ran
bootmgfw.efi,
it would also report failure in the qemu screen.
--- VTI_Windows2003, both SP1 and SP2 guest will
crash at
"starting windows..."

Hi Zhang.
Could you try the attached patch?
This patch is for temporal work around.
Is it important to implement SAL_MC_SET_PARAMS and
SAL_SET_VECTORS?
If so, they have to be implemented in both gfw and xen vmm.
thanks,

Isaku,
Thanks for fixing this,
GFW should implement SAL_MC_SET_PARAMS and SAL_SET_VECTORS(
except
SAL_VECTOR_OS_BOOT_RENDEZ).
I'll look at this.
Thanks,
Anthony

Hi Isaku,
I use your patch on latest 17677. Both sp1 and sp2 of
VTI_Win2003server can be booted up successfully. Thanks!
BTW, there is a little typo in your patch: (should drop
the "/*" and
"*/", or it will not success to compile)

Hi,
In current implementation of xen, the MCA does not reflect
to guest
domain. So it is not important to implement them, I think.
Thanks,
KAZ

Hi Isaku:
After an investigation, I think your way is enough. These
SAL calls need not be implemented now:
1. For MCA and INIT, we don't support for guest now.
2. For Boot Rendez, we actually wake up APs after SAL
Rendez so that no use of these SAL calls.(See attachment).
Good good study,day day up ! ^_^
