using yaz and php5 (begginer)

Hi,

I've got debian + php5 and i installed yaz using 
pear install yaz 
(without problems) but when i try to call yaz_connect() I
receive error "Call to undefined function..."

I didn't use pear earlier but i know that when I want to use
for example class Benchmark_Iterate and i install Benchmark
using pear i need to include file
"Benchmark/Iterate.php" - maybe I need to include
something for yaz?
