LOC Retrieval with marc8->utf8

Hi,

 

Sorry for my poor english, I’m gonna try to be understandable J

II want to retrieve unicode records form LOC (with French, arab,, chinese charset) with a Delphi code.

 

With the “render” option

‘render;charset=marc8,iso-8859-1’, no problem with french characters, and itR17;s normal.

 

If I try ‘xml;charset=marc8,utf-8’ Chinese and arabs seems to be ok, but I get wrong coding for French accentuated characters :

 

$a Ide´es de villes : $b urbanisme entre forme technique, socie´te´

 

Must be

 

$a Idées de villesR30;

 

Could someone help me ?
