I thought the whole purpose of lists like this was to help out colleagues
as well as get help for ourselves if needed. If someone is way out of
line for this discussion list, why not just point them in the right
direction? It is not like we are all forced to respond to questions if we
don't want to. This is a support group.

I agree with you Larry, but the lack of 'netiquette' that lots of people show here posting non RHN related requests is draining a respectable amount of my (our?) time and that's not the purpose of this support mailing list, is it?
Of course all of us would prefer that this measure would not be necessary, but some of us think it is.
