Get the text from a PDF file

I want to analyze the text from a PDF file. The getpdftext
module of 
CAM::PDF gives me all of the text, but it is (apparently)
not in the 
sequence that it would appear in the printed document. Is
there another 
module that will return the text in printed document
sequence?
