ManyToMany Self Relationships pre Magic Removal

Is it possible to do a self referencing manytomanyfield pre
magic
removal?  Something like:

class Url(models.Model):
    location = models.URLField()
    referrers = models.ManyToManyField('self', blank=True,
null=True)

No, I don't believe we supported self-referencing
many-to-many fields
before magic-removal.
