Preferred way to expand User Model?

Hi,

what is the preferred way to expand the user model? I would
use a
model with a OneToOne Field, but documentation says i should
not. What
should i do instead?

A foreign key with unique=True, as covered in the Django
book.

I have read the documentation for hours, but i never thought
of
looking into the Django Book. And the solution there is even
better as
i imagined.
