Error During Django Intall on Mac

I am new at this so I apologize if this is a stupid
question...

Why do I keep getting a permission denied error when I run
the
following:

jnap:/usr jnap$ ln -s
/usr/local/lib/python2.3/site-packages/
django_src/django/bin/django-admin.py
/usr/local/bin/django-admin.py
ln: /usr/local/bin/django-admin.py: Permission denied

Because this is a secured area in your system.

If you want to change something you need admin/root acces
like when  
you install software.

try :

sudo ln -s
/usr/local/lib/python2.3/site-packages/django_src/django/ 
bin/django-admin.py /usr/local/bin/django-admin.py

it will ask for your password
