Yes, using FOP. Can work around that. Any idea on the extra “-“ that are shown in my output example?

Are you using FOP?  FOP does not yet support the hyphenate.verbatim feature.

Can anyone tell me why my programlisting output is including “-&#8220; at the start of every word? As shown in the output sample below? Also, the wrap doesn̵7;t seem to be working. I’m using Apache.

They are soft hyphens
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyphen#Hyphens_in_computing
). The idea is that
a hyphen should be displayed only at the point where a line
is broken. FOP
does not currently support that.
