Actually, I think this is a bug in DocBook 5. An
inlineequation should
contain an inlinemediaobject, not a mediaobject, in my
opinion. Could you
please file a bug report on this on SourceForge? This would
be a DocBook
RFE, not a stylesheet bug report. Then it will be discussed
at the next
DocBook Technical Committee meeting.
