Yes, that's what my first thought was Markus.
User input could cover a command, a function or any other
combination.

keycombo (keycap* | keysym* | userinput)+  would be good for
this.

Or even CDATA as part of the model,

<keycombo><keycap>Alt</keycap><keycap&g
t;x</keycap><userinput>revert-buffer</userinp
ut></keycombo>

would make this better IMHO.
