Hey folks,

Looks like http://tatewake.com is
offline - perhaps the owner of the
site and author of the fabulous monobook for dokuwiki
template is not
aware of it.

Cheers,

Tobias

That is correct, I'm not aware of it!

It looks like all of my sites are off-line currently...

This probably has something to do with my hosting company
moving me to
a different server; I'll contact them and see what's up.

Don't fret though, I have backups of everything if I have to
restore
it for some reason.

Hiyas,

Just as a final follow up, everything is back up; as I
suspected there
was just some complications during the server move that
weren't
initially caught. Everything should be fine now though.

Thanks, Terence -

I am able to replicate the problem I'm having on your
tatewake wiki
too.. and am not getting it on the splitbrain wiki. Let me
share my
question with the dokuwiki list, if you don't mind, and
hopefully
someone else will have an insight into why this might be
happening.

The long and short of it is this: when using the lovely
monobook for
dokuwiki template, the "printable version" looks
great on screen but
actually prints without stylesheets - so notes plugin
formatting,
superscript, font etc are all not formatted correctly. When
creating
PDF using apple's print to pdf or pdf995, the PDFs look just
like the
printouts.

My hope is to have a printable/pdf version of wiki documents
that
looks as close as possible to the online version.

Cheers,

Tobias

Oh, I see; this might be due to a problem with my style.ini

There's an entry in there for the print stylesheet, I don't
think I've
got it set properly; see if changing that to point directly
to the
print stylesheet fixes it.

Nothing I do with style.ini seems to make any difference -
unless I'm
just getting it wrong.

Here's the contents of my monobook/style.ini file:

[stylesheets]
screen.css     = screen
rtl.css        = rtl
dokuwiki/print.css = print

This is frustrating because I feel like I'm so close! What
happens
when I click "print" that causes the css to just
disappear? Wacky,
and probably something glaringly obvious.

Does this have anything to do with multitemplate?

Cheers,

Tobias

Tobias,

Ok, figured it out.

It's got to do with the note plugin, not monobook or
multitemplate.

Apparently the note plugin doesn't provide a
"print.css" stylesheet,
so you'll see no note styles applied when you print.

In the note plugin folder, make a copy of style.css and call
it
print.css and this should fix everything for you.

Or if you're running a recent development version you could rename the styles.css to all.css. That should apply to both print and screen...martin

Hi Terence -

Cool - this is much better! Thank
you!

I'm still having the following fairly major issues:

- all the text is in times new roman
- superscript text (e.g. endnotes) is not in superscript
- wiki stylesheets are lost (e.g. lines under headings)

I suppose this is partially intentional (times new roman
does read
better on paper) but I'd like to have the offline version
look as much
as possible like the on screen version, minus the
navigation.

Many thanks!

Cheers,

Tobias

Thanks for this feedback.

I know this is probably the dumbest red herring question to
ask, but
which development version is safe to download and install?
Currently
my wiki relies heavily on the following plugins:

include, monobook, multitemplate, note, and indexmenu

I'd be happy to upgrade to a relatively stable dev version
if it makes
this effort easier - and brings me up to the same code as
you all.

Cheers,

Tobias
