CD and DVD drives

Hi,

We are having issues with our computer in which the CD ROM
and DVD
drives are not being recognized. Does anyone know how to
either re-
connect them or get them to be used again? They both worked
when we
purchased the computer new.

Buy and replace new IDE ribbon cable.  Buy and replace new
drives.
Purchase a new computer.   Use network drives instead.  http://www.geeksquad.com
