Title:  VB / C# Developer

Location:  Plymouth, MN   ;    (LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE GIVEN PREFERENCE)

Duration:  6 months

Rate Range:  $45 pr hr

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Uni prise/Product Benefit Database program is looking for individuals to assist with application development for two of its data creation applications. The Template Maintenance Tool and the Hierarchy Maintenance Tool are used to create and maintain data used by many other applications central to PBD and UnitedHealth Group.

This position will involve application support, application migration, application integration, object oriented design, and extensive internal environment coordination. Qualified applicants will work within a small existing development team performing each function of the application development life-cycle as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
1) Rapid application prototyping
2) Application migration from VB6 to C# .NET 2005
3) Defect remediation
4) SQL query development
5) Object Oriented Design
6) Documenting technical specifications
7) Individual technical process design
8) Team collaboration to define technical direction with respect to complex business requirements

Skills Required:
1) Proficiency in Visual Basic 6.0
2) Proficiency in Visual Studio 2005
3) Migration experience from Visual Basic 6.0 to C# 2005.
3) Knowledge and experience with C# Win Form application design, development, and deployment.
4) Knowledge and experience with Web services design and implementation
5) Knowledge and experience with XML
6) Knowledge and experience with ADO.NET
7) Knowledge and experience with Crystal Reports
8) Expert Oracle SQL skills
9) Healthcare industry experience will be helpful
