Job Description: Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the SMS Architecture. This role includes providing technical support, implementation of new Primary/Secondary sites, monitoring and performance tuning.

Responsibilities:
· Ensure that the SMS environment is functioning efficiently.
·       ;Create documentation of the SMS environment.
·       ;Design and distribute MMC consoles with various options for use by the integration lab, DTS and the service desk.
·       Monitor inventory and software inventories to ensure collections are up to date.
·       Research and resolve production support problems, perform routine maintenance.
·     ;  Performance monitoring - provide assistance to the Dell SMS team using various tools and optimizing performance.
·     ;  Perform periodic site reviews.
·  ;     Implement new Primary and Secondary Sites during new site roll-outs.
·       Assist with test plans, testing and user environment tests.
·      ; Adhere to the Unilever audit/quality guidelines.
·       ;Integrate new technologies into the SMS architecture

Sr. Legato Consultant

Basic Purpose:
The Senior Backup Engineer (Consultant) is primarily responsible for all aspects of the EMC Legato based backup systems with additional responsibilities related to backup systems monitoring, disaster recovery procedures as it relates to the Legato environment   This position requires working independently in a team-based environment to meet prescribed goals and objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
·      ; Help with the administration, performance tuning, monitoring, capacity planning, integration and maintenance of EMC Legato backup systems on Cisco and Brocade fabrics.
·  ;     Design, development and implementation of new standards, procedures and processes related to backup technology
·       ;Mentor the existing team on best practices in the area of backup and recovery.
·       Help implement and maintain a new backup and recovery solution and create a support manual that covers: Break-fix, implementation, monitoring and support of the new environment.
·     ;  Manage and optimize the enterprise monitoring system to maintain a proactive approach to systems management and a consistently high level of uptime
·       ;Collaborate with the Infrastructure team in the troubleshooting and resolution of backup, server and application related issues with respect to the tape environment.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

·       ;Minimum of 5 years of experience in a EMC Legato environment, preferably in an enterprise systems environment
·       ;Minimum of 3 years of experience with Cisco MDS storage director required
·       ;Working knowledge of other data backup/replication technologies: SAP?s Brbackup, Unix RSYNC and Data guard for Oracle required
·       ;Knowledge and experience running EMC Legato in Aix and Linux environments
·     ;  Knowledge and experience with IBM tape technology (tape libraries and drives)
·    ;   Systems monitoring and management experience required
·       ;Understanding of ITIL methodology
