Job Title: Unix/Linux System Administrator

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration : 2-3 Months +

Rate: DOE—C2C (with all inclusive)

Purpose of Position :

Provide Administration for hardware and Operating systems that support the Enterprise systems ( i.e HPUX & Linux systems that support Oracle Financials, OPM, CPG, Ess …)   Specifically – Maintain and Enhance Data network, Data Center software and hardware Support, and maintain end user interfaces on the Citrix/Metaframe hardware.  Supports all server hardware platforms.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manages the Unix/Linux environments for Enterprise applications.  Installs and maintains the hardware and operating system for the platforms that support our main database machines.
• Implement and maintain system configurations to enforce the security policies necessary to provide a safe and reliable computing environment on the systems. Knowledge of network security would be an advantage.  Also, provide guidance and assistance in establishing the Security polices.   
• Manages the Citrix servers that provide the user interface for all of our Enterprise level applications.  
• Installation and upgrade of the application software to include Client / Server applications ( i.e. EDI server & software, Clear Orbit, Oracle Applications and Databases). 
• Participate in the develop Business Recovery plans for Client to recover the Business systems . 
• Analyzes new system requirements and determines the best IT technologies to use for the new system.  This included staying current on all technology trends to make recommendations on what technologies to utilize. 
• Establishes and maintains the Client Information Technology Architecture Standards  for Enterprise wide systems.
• Alternate Network (LAN & WAN) Administer, assists in design, implementation and maintenance of the network to meet Client Data needs.
