Hi! I having a lot of problems figuring out how to work
with CVS for
creating a DRUPAL-5 branch. What is the appropriate forum
for
sending questions?
Thanks,
Ricky

Ricky,
Are you familiar with the CVS handbook on http://drupal.org/han
dbook/cvs?
I got a lot of help from it.
Try the 'Drupal.org infrastructure' forum
"For anything related to maintenance of drupal.org,
including the website,
the mailing lists, and the CVS repositories."
Regrads,
Sutha

Thanks -- the cvs handbook instructions seemed to get me in
trouble
in the first place, which is why I was asking for help.
I'll go post
in infrastructure...

I would actually say that here is probably more appropriate
than
infrastructure; infra is a smaller group of people. It may
be a bit more
targeted but maintaining a project on drupal.org *IS* a
development activity
and seems appropriate for this list.

Correct. It is certainly *not* an issue for the infra list
since nothing
is broken.

Thanks. I actually may have fixed things by deleting
everything, and
re-commiting previous versions. If this doesn't work, I
will ask
here...

Er? You do know that this message gets posted to a public
mailing list and
will automatically be "retransmitted" to a public
web server where you
can "review" and "disseminate" the
mailing list archive for a long long time?
I mean, I know that this disclaimer is an automatically
appended signature,
but I find it very inappropriate for an open source
development mailing list
nevertheless.

Jakob

FWIW, I totally agree. This signature isn't appended by my
email
client, but by the smtp server that work provides (I'm doing
my
development at work, because my modules were all developed
for my
work web site). I can't even set up my own SMTP server
(which I used
to have), because I'm associated with a hospital, so all
email into
and out from my network must pass through certain
"email gateways",
which automatically append the message.

Please use a gmail account or something along the lines of
gmane (
http://d
ir.gmane.org/search.php?match=drupal ) to access and use
the
list.
