*** About NEOLOGOS ***
NEOLOGOS, a project
funded by the French government within the Technolangue programme aimed
at
designing speech resources for the development and the assessment of
French
speech recognition and speech synthesis systems: the PAIDIALOGOS AND
IDIOLOGOS
databases.
PAIDIALOGOS is the
result of a collection of French child and teenage voices, aged 7 to
17,
equally divided into boys and girls, and representative of the
different
regions in France.
350 speakers were
recorded over the GSM telephone network and 650 over the fixed
telephone
network.
IDIOLOGOS tried to
optimize the database contents in terms of diversity of the recorded
voices,
while reducing the number of recorded speakers. Its goal was to build a
reference
database for French adult voices.
A description of
the project is available at: http://www.technolangue.net/article.php3?id_article=83
(in
French only).
