Push Strategic Member Promotions Live

Afternoon,

I have incorporated all the feedback and put together a final version of the Eclipse.org home page supporting promotion of our membership.

Since this is a major change to the Eclipse.org homepage I’m looking for 3 +1̵7;s before promoting this change to live.

The problem is there is not a standard height for Membership Logos, just a standard width.  I can hardcode their heights, but if the member updates their logo via the portal it runs the risk of stretching the logo and making it look awkward.  I am open to suggestions here.

I have hard coded the width/height of the 200x200217;s.

My only suggestion is that you have width and height attributes for the images so that the page renders once rather than renders and then re-renders after it has fetched the image. (Clear your cache and refresh the page to see what I mean.)

I would happily remove the screenshots, but I’ve heard repeatedly that “people like them” and I don’t have data to argue that fact. 

You will notice there is a “Screenshots” link in the “Useful Links” section on right in anticipation of times when we have a spotlight ad up there we can just swap with screenshots.

+1, Not too shabby...

We'll see if anyone raises complaints... I'd doubt it...

However, looking at this... has anyone considered moving the "Screenshots" box somewhere else or making it more sleek?

Thanks to some PHP’ing, I think we’ve addressed the resizing issue and the page loads much more cleanly.
