Heh, no. I was over-eager to test and didn't read the
testing notes.
Although, this afternoon I did try with two network cards,
and it failed
as well :(
The first card was an i100 card and the second one a rtl8139
(not that I
think the type of cards at are fault here). Both were
detected fine by
the installer, since it asked me which one I want as my
primary
interface. It still gave me an error about dhcpd not goint
to be
auto-configured :/

I wasn't sure if it was already fixed in a later build.

I have now. It runs fine, even though it's not stretched
full screen. I
assume that without the -x option it doesn't change screen
resolution.

Hmmm... when I add new users to the system, I can't log in
from the thin
client. I tried ltsp-updates-sshkeys, rebooting, creating
more users,
and I still can just login as the first user.
*FILE BUG FOR THIS
LDM doesn't warn me that I'm logged in on the server before
letting me
in. I know this can't be fixed for 6.10, but I filed a bug
for it for
future reference:
Bug #67366:
https
://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/67366
The bugbuddy message does not appear on the client when
logged out on
the server. I don't think this is a seperate bug. I think we
should just
state in the documentation that logging in from different
machines as
the same user is unsupported and users shouldn't do it.
Scott, are you
listening?

Okay. Scott has it covered in the LTSP documentation.

I can't figure out where to change the bug to a wishlist
bug? Seems like
I just can't get along nicely with Launchpad UI

Ok, but I really really liked the built-in examples that
K12-LTSP
had/has.

Ok. I have two bugs here:
1. The metacity thing:
Bug #67397:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/ltsp/+b
ug/67397
2. When choosing a session other than gnome-session from
LDM, the user
logs in perfectly. However, after logging out, the user
can't log in
again no matter which session is chosen. What's worse, is
that the only
thing that resets it back again is by rebooting the server,
rebooting
the client doesn't work. I will investigate this further...

It works fine here too. I think last night I fell victim to
bug #67403.

I didn't have a chance to do more in-depth testing.
Reproducing and
filing these bugs were quite time-intensive. Will try to do
more testing
tomorrow.
I've been thinking about the edubuntu-testers and
edubuntu-bugsquad
teams too. ogra, do you think it would be worth while to do
'Edubuntu
bug days' on Wednesdays too? I know that there's not usually
many
Edubuntu bugs, and that Ubuntu bug day is Edubuntu bug day
too, but
perhaps having a specific Edubuntu effort couldn't hurt?
It's also
convenient that we meet every Wednesday, we could do a small
bug roundup
in the technical section.
