Hello, fellow gnomemeeters.

I've recently been trying to run the test call (sip:500ekiga.net) to check that my configuration works.

However when I try to do so, all I receive is one beep every four or so seconds.  It is often impossible to "hang up" - the beeping continues!

I have also set up and tried to do the a Wengo call (sip:333), to see whether it was my Ekiga account's fault.  I changed proxy settings, STUN settings and port - but still receive only one beep every four or so seconds.

Is there some vital aspect I have left out in setting up Ekiga?  It seems to be working for most other people.

I have just upgraded ekiga/opal/pwlib to the latest versions
and get the same
kind of thing. I call 500ekiga.net, get two beeps
and then ekiga hangs. Clicking hang-up
causes just that: a complete hang-up and ekiga must be
killed! With ekiga 2.0.1 at least
you connect to the echo test.

Wouldn't you be using ALSA 1.0.11 which would have been
upgraded with
Ekiga?

Then probably CVS is broken again for ALSA...

Could you please provide more debug information so that we
can confirm
it or not? (backtrace, debug 4 output, ...)

Ok. I start ekiga, select 500ekiga.net from the
drop-down, click connect after
which nothing happens. No beeps today. The back-trace shows
no trace of ALSA.
