Sorry of this is OT. I could probably post this anywhere
but seeing how
I'm having the error with qmail-scanner I'll try here.

I'm trying to configure my Suse10 (kernel 2.6.13-15) box to
use tmpfs
for the /var/spool/qmail/qmailscan/working/new and
/var/spool/qmail/qmailscan/working/tmp
directory. However, I'm getting errors when I try to send
the email:

cannot link
/var/spool/qmailscan/working/tmp/mail211884196267647926 into

/var/spool/qmailscan/working/new/mail211884196267647926 -
Invalid
cross-device link

I'm mounting the device with this command:

mount -t tmpfs -o size=50M,mode=0744 tmpfs
/var/spool/qmailscan/working/new
mount -t tmpfs -o size=50M,mode=0744 tmpfs
/var/spool/qmailscan/working/tmp

Does anyone have experience using a tmpfs for their scanning
directory?
Any assistance is appreciated.

Matt

Sorry, but you jsut can't do that. By definition, maildir
directories
*must* be on the same disk, otherwise a "move"
operation cannot work
(you cannot move files between devices - only
copy-and-delete).

Why don't you make "working" a tmpfs instead?

Hello,

try use

File::Copy
copy("src", "dest")

instead link.

But link is faster.
