Different toolchain, different behavior...

Hi,

I was able to build two sets of toolchain for ppc405:

1. gcc-3.2.3-glibc-2.2.5
2. gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3

Both also successfully built the U-Boot code (v1.1.4).

However, with the U-Boot built from the first
toolchain, all commands that I will type from U-Boot
prompt will say that it is an invalid command.

With the U-Boot built from the second toolchain, all
commands work fine (atleast it doesn't say it is
invalid).

Any explanation why?

Thanks.

Richard

P.S.
(I asked this because I'm trying to build the linux
kernel, and it hangs after decompress. I'm afraid the
toolchain has something to do with this problem also.)

Thanks for the info. Perhaps there are bugfixes in
gcc-3.4.1, who knows...
