We have exactly the same problem with EFW 2.1 and a new HP
DX5150 PC. This
has a MSI 09AC motherboard, AMD Sempron 2100+ CPU, 512MB RAM
and a IXP SB400
SATA Controller (with SATA hard disk).

The installation appeared to be successful, however on the
reboot after
completing the initial installation from CD the last lines
were excatly the
same and the Endian Firewall failed to boot.

We then successfully installed using EFW 2.0 without any
problems.

Any help would be appreciated.

On Intel based machines, P4 or so, turn off hyperthreading
(if your machine is a
single processor), it should allow your machine to boot up.
Had this problem on
a supermicro machine, it worked in this case.

Not a fix, just a work a round...

Unfortunately this does not help in our case as the CPU is
an AMD Sempron.
