There is no VI editor on the system just edit with nano /etc/crontab and then restart fcron daemon

everytime i want to edit the crontab, i get the following messages:







rootGI-FW-2:~ # fcrontab -e



11:27:58 fcrontab : editing root's fcrontab




11:27:58 Error while running "/bin/vi": No such file or directory



11:27:58 could not stat /tmp/fcr-i1LJBo: No such file or directory



11:27:58 could not remove /tmp/fcr-i1LJBo: No such file or directory







Any ideas??

I disagree. there is a vi editor and
actually it is located /bin/vi (I´m commonly using it), anyhow I get the
same message as mr. Schmidt.


Your way is right but I don´t understand
why crontab -e doesn´t work.
