Summary: HTTP Proxy Access - ORANGE Error
Initial Comment:
RC8 has got HTTP Proxy Access enabled for ORANGE
network, however whenever I try to access the web (any
website) I get an error message stating:
The following error was encountered:
Access Denied.
Access control configuration prevents your request from
being allowed at this time. Please contact your service
provider if you feel this is incorrect.
Your cache administrator is root.
I have enabled HTTP Proxy on ORANGE and Enable
Transparent. Still no go.

Ok, Servers on ORANGE can use http and ftp proxies. No my
other problem is computers on GREEN cannot access Servers on
ORANGE via http proxy. Both servers host websites that are
viewable by clients on the internet and internal clients.
However clients on the internal network(GREEN) cannot access
those sites either by IP or by FQDN. These website's domain
names are hosted by ISP so I put their names in the HOSTS
file in Network > Hosts pointing the names to the
server's
internal IP's, that way internal clients that use Endian's
DNS Proxy will go straight to the server and not out to
internet and back in. This worked in rc7 but not in rc8. It
works on IPCOP as well. I am BIG trouble when I get back
into work tomorrow as none of my internal clients can access
these servers. Please help me!

is the orange network allowed to access the proxy?
probably you must insert the orange network within
"Allowed
subnets" under "Network based access
control".
