Summary: Aliases drop after 24 hrs
Initial Comment:
After about 24hrs the red aliases dispear from the
network status and fail to work.
To re-establish them I have to edit one, not make any
changes and then submit it. The aliases then reappear
and work.

can you please say us to which timestamp this does appear?
i think it could be something related to logrotate.
we have had some very subtile issues with logrotate.
