I have similar issues also, disabled proxy and tried again. But my issue
seems worse... the firewall loses it internet connectivity totally and
requires a reboot to get back on the net. This happens when I was trying
to download a large ISO from Microsft, via http it would get anywhere from
30-80 MB before it would bomb out. Had to put back my old linksys to
download the file.

Thanks for response.
I have reinstalled my Endian. The cache is now 50000 Mb on
Hard Disk and 40960 on Ram. But the problem is the same:
If I download any driver file for www.nvidia.com after 200kb
the trasfert is aborted incorrectly.
Any ideas?

I think you should increase the limit of files in cache.
But, when a file is too big, Squid normally doesn't stop
forwarding it.
Can you say us which protocol are you using to download your
file please, I think it will be helpful.
