Summary: SMTP Admin Notifications broken

Initial Comment:
I came in today after updating to rc8 and found no
notification emails on my admin email account for any
spam, viruses, bounced emails. I checked the mail
statistics and found that there have been a lot of
discarded spam and virus emails. Here is a snippet from
the SMTP Log:

amavis[7832]: (07832-01) Blocked SPAM,  -> , Hits:
4.087, tag=2, tag2=3, kill=4, L/Y/Y/Y
Feb 13 07:46:10 	postfix/smtp[7910]: 42099D796A: to=,
relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1], delay=1083, status=sent
(250 2.7.1 Ok, discarded, UBE, id=07832-01)
Feb 13 07:46:10 	postfix/qmgr[7909]: 42099D796A: removed
Feb 13 07:46:10 	postfix/local[7938]: 468ACD798E: to=,
orig_to=, relay=local, delay=0, status=bounced (unknown
user: "dayne.ws")
Feb 13 07:46:10 	postfix/qmgr[7909]: 468ACD798E: removed

Seems like the smtpscan has parsed my admin email
address. My email address is daynesomedomain.ws. Is
this a bug? Never happened in rc7. Also why am I seeing
these in my SMTP Logs, I haven't configured an ssl cert
for my pop3 or smtp server:

postfix/smtp[7937]: verify error:num=18:self signed
certificate
Feb 13 07:46:14 	postfix/smtp[7937]: verify
error:num=10:certificate has expired
Feb 13 07:46:14 	postfix/smtp[7937]: cert has expired
Feb 13 07:46:14 	postfix/smtp[7937]: Peer verification:
CommonName in certificate does not match: Ventia !=
192.168.2.3
Feb 13 07:46:14 	postfix/smtp[7937]: cert has expired
Feb 13 07:46:15 	postfix/smtp[7937]: Peer certficate
could not be verified

And none of my users are using POP3 SSL or SMTP SSL.

Best regards,

Dayne

the mailserver on efw feels responsible for the hostname of
the efw. that's not good. instead of sending away the admin
notification to your mailserver it would be sent to the
local mailserver on efw if the email-domain matches the
local domain of efw. the local efw certainly does not know
any user.

you can fix this problem by removing $myhostname, from the
line
mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost
in the file /var/efw/smtpd/main.cf.tpl.

ad ssl output:
the efw mailserver automatically has TLS configured. it uses
the selfsigned ssl certificate which will be used by the
webserver.
this is better than nothing, but in order to provide real
security here we need to give the possibility to upload a
real certificate.
