After the reboot, the 3 choices are displayed:
0) Shell
1) Restore Factory Defaults
2) Reboot
selecting 0 brings up:

and - since there was no offer to set the passwords
previously, the root account is locked out.
The green interface doesn't respond to http or https at this
point, either.
tried these combinations:

Closing this - the GREEN interface DOES respond after the
reboot, if the
hardware setup is working - specifically, if the interface
that is selected
by the boot process is cabled to the switch (sigh - the one
of 2 interfaces
in the test box that was cabled during installation was NOT
the one that
the bootup selected to be the green interface).
The web access finished the setup by allowing me to set
passwords
appropriately. Login then would work just fine, of course.
