Summary: GRUB Configuration
Initial Comment:
Hi guys,
Firstly thanks for your work, i've only recently
discovered Endian after using IPCop for about 2 years,
and i must say, you guys have incorporated almost the
exact feature set I've been waiting for.
Now onto my problem. I've install the latest release
candidate (1.1RC8) and found that upon rebooting the PC
after installation that it hangs. The reason is that
GRUB has been configured to run in one the serial
interface by default. When I run my Endian FW as a
headless machine with no keyboard i have no way of
pressing a key, thus the fix was to change the line
from /boot/grub/grub.conf:
terminal --timeout=2 serial console
to:
terminal --timeout=2 console serial
This meant that the GRUB boot loader automagically
starts on the terminal, thus eliminating my problem.
Now i'm guessing that 99% of users don't use serial,
and would like a headless system, so just wondering if
this could be corrected.

if you configure the firewall correctly, and READ the
installation screens , this
will not happen.
I know my fire wall does not do it.
