 As we can guess the charset, how difficult would be to
convert e-mails to
UTF-8 before storing in the database. I am asking, because I
don't know
eventum well internally.

We have a lib to convert?

it's very big task and there are no developers working on
it. otoh it's marked 
on roadmap
