Reply emails not being sent

Hello,
I'm currently running Eventum 2.0.1 (I have tried 2.1 as
well) and cannot
send reply emails from within an issue. Notifications are
being sent for
issues being opened and closed, and replies are listed at
the bottom of the
issue screen, but they never go to the mail_queue table and
are thus never
sent out. I've made sure to sign up as an authorized
replier, though I'm
unsure of what (if any) other configuration settings I
should make. Am I
misunderstanding something or is something wrong?

I'm running Mac OS X server 10.4, PHP 5.0.4 and MySQL
5.0.41.
