Problem installing FasterFox

Greetings,

 

I just found out about your program and I downloaded it. When I tried to RUN it I discovered the file has an extent of .XPI which is apparently unknown to my Win-XP system. It is asking me to select the program to process this XPI file. I don't have a clue of what to do with an XPI file. What am I supposed to do with it? I already have the latest FireFox installed. Should I use that?

 

I visited your web site, Installation section, hoping to get some help. Nothing there to answer my question. It just starts out with "Note: A security bar will appear at the top of this window,...".  OK, how is THAT supposed to happen?

 

Can you please give me a clue of what to do with this?
