Blank menu bar after screen resolution change

Running firefox 2.0.0.1 (although this problem was present
in 1.x as
well).  After I change the screen resolution (after I
dock/undock my
laptop, for instance), a blank menu bar appears between the
title bar
and the standard menu bar.  This is very annoying.  Anyone
know how to
fix or prevent this from happening?  Thanks.
