Sharing a Firefox History file

I'm running two separate Firefox installations on two
different
computers on a home network.

Can I share the "history" file between them to a
separate network hard
disk?
It would mean I'd have to be able to tell Firefox where I
want the
"history" file stored, rather than the default.
