Hey James, This is the link to the cool dynamic mask that I was telling you about. I couldn't really make heads or tails of the code (which of course isn't surprising) but I thought the abbreviations were a bit odd, as you had mentioned they might be bitmap techniques that were decompiled from a pre-existing swift. I dunno.... let me know what you think ! Cool effect, thanks for the link Dan. You miss understood our conversation. I mentioned that what you described sounded to me like a dynamically drawn mask, which was the way this effect was created. We also talked about the possibilities of doing a mask-like effect with the new bitmapdata class. As for the code, I hadn't seen it but you described it yesterday as being very unreadable because of it's weird one and two letter variable names. It sounded to me like you were describing reverse-engineered code output from a decompiler. However, taking a look at the code just now I can clearly see that it was authored this way. It's pretty common to use one letter variable names such as r for radius inside drawing methods just like this author has done. -- James Daniel Cauthorn wrote: > Hey James, > > > This is the link to the cool dynamic mask that I was telling you > about. > > I couldn't really make heads or tails of the code (which of course > isn't surprising) but I thought the abbreviations were a bit > odd, as you had mentioned they might be bitmap techniques that were > decompiled from a pre-existing swift.
