Good Morning!

I work in a a very locked down corporate environment
creating
e-learning courses. The version of Flash player on the
desktops of our
users is rather old (Player 6) and it takes an act of God to
get a newer
version installed.

Is there a way I can install the newer version of Flash
player into
virtual memory (most people can't install anything onto
their own
computers) so the user can take the e-learning course or
should I start
praying?

Nope. Sorry. Start praying. If people could do that with
runtimes,
imagine the havok hackers could unleash.

Katya,

I asked a similar question last year. We were trying to run
Flash 7 and
8 courses on locked down computers running Flash 6 player.
Shortly
afterwards the local IT people pushed the Flash 9 player to
the local
computers.

If memory serves there is a Flash player updater out there
on Adobe's
site that will allow an update of the Flash player even on
locked down
PC's. I believe you need to have player version 6.5 or later
for the
updater to work however. One of the Flash gurus can confirm
or deny that
but I *believe* it is possible.

HTH,
